Loads of things wrong with my car?

my car had a pre MOT and this is what is wrong with it:


needs a whole new wiper linkage


there is an oil leak as the sump has rotted


the front anti roll bar bushes need replaced (?)


break lights not working


registration plate light not working


water in my headlights





anyone any idea how much this will cost?





It's a Fiat Punto V reg if that helps. I already know the wiper linkage will cost 拢95 and that the roll bar is being taken care of.





My car is still in the garage, they are working on it for me and it's going back in for another MOT tomorrow, but they didn't say how much this is going to cost.|||my cars been up and down on the garage lift so often it's the only vehicle with a higher mileage vertically than horizontally.........|||Set fire to it, get the insurance money and get a new car! LOL|||Hmm, they do recommend you take your car to a different garage to get a second opinion if you supposedly have that much wrong with your car.





The garage could be ripping you off and i have a feeling it's going to cost you an arm and a leg !|||hun think you are better off getting a new vehicle...sounds like you may be investing way too much money into a vehicle than what it's worth.|||oh bless you, i had a punto (t reg) i had it from 2003 to mid 2007 it was made 99 so much went wrong with it, in the end the water bit that kept the engine cool packed up a LOT of times, i even paid for a new engine (only to get to use it for 3 months) id bought it on bludee crdit and hadnt even finished paying for it when it died for the final time and i gave up paying for repairs and got a new car, i loved it when it was in its prime but i will NEVER buy a punto again.


p.s i wouldnt be surprised if the water cap flew off like it did on mine.|||You can add another 拢500 to the 拢95 + V.A.T|||none of its really that big of a deal.taillings is probably a fuse,tag light is probably a bulb,water in headlights can be cured by drilling a small hole in the bottom and plugging it with silicone when they dry out.oil leak,well thats just one of those things,roll bar bushings,4 bolts hardly a big deal.you probably can do most of this yourself.|||I have never heard of a sump rotting away on a car that is relatively new(ish) - Have you been parking it in the sea? Headlights - best get from breakers yard. Car sounds like a scrapper to me. Don't like the truth? don't ask then.|||it shouldn't be to bad the sump is only a casing, 20 quid from a scrap yard, lights either a fuse or bulbs nothing major, headlights can be drained and sealed, including the wiper motor prob looking about 300, as your mums cousin is doing it, shouldn't worry to much, he shouldn't stitch you up!


good luck.|||that is nothing major for a fiat most likely just bulbs blown. the most expensive part will be the wiper linkage. drain the water then seal them|||Scrap it !
