I had my car MOT'd and it failed. Is this serious:-?

Offside rear anti-roll bar linkage has excessive play in a ball joint. Also, would this be expensive to get fixed.|||No, although you don't say what make the car is, it's not serious and shouldn't be expensive to rectify.

I've just had a look at a Motor Factors site, the part is between 拢6 and 拢20 depending on the make of car.|||Make sure you get some quotes and dont get ripped off by the garage who m.o.t.`d it.. depends on the car how much it will cost.. did they give you a quote? I`m not a mechanic so I dont know.. my Dad is one - anything with balljoints I know was expensive.. just get three different quotes..|||not if you buy the part yourself from a motor factors - then find someone to fit it for you... you have 10 days or pay for complete re test|||It's not overly serious %26amp; should be an easy fix for most mechanics, however the cost will depend on the garage you go to, the time it takes to fix %26amp; the make %26amp; model of your car.|||No not at all, take old one off, fit new one. It,s only bolt,s. good luck|||a mot fail means you should not drive your car until it is mended. The garage should have given you a quote for the price to repair the car so you should know how much it will cost.|||its a cheap and easy job to do should only cost 拢20-拢30 at a garage. its only two bolts to undo then remove old rubber bush and place new rubber bush and put two bolts back in job done should take 20-30 min to do job.|||It's serious only insofar as you cannot currently use the car legally. A simple job to do which only requires some spannering and probably some thumping with a hammer. Parts are surprisingly cheap, depending on what car it is. I've just done both sides on the Landy for 拢25 for the parts.
